Hadassah’s Chicago Chapter has a new Loop Group named Shachar (the Hebrew word for “dawn”), & we asked NIEU Professor Emerita June Sochen to be the special guest for our first official educational meeting.
Altho I never had the good fortune to be one of June’s many students, I have learned an enormous amount from her since the first time we met in 1988. I have heard her lecture many times, & I’ve read several of her wonderful books. Here’s an excerpt from her book FROM MAE TO MADONNA, which she allowed me to post on FF2 when I was just getting organized. I consider June Sochen a role model & a mentor & terrific contributor to the fight for equal rights for women everywhere.
