Why it’s so important to “Support Women Artists Now”
Jill Coleman is an Assistant Professor in the College of Arts and Sciences at Roosevelt University interested in both theoretical and applied issues related to gender stereotypes. She is currently working on projects related to “essentialist” ideas about gender differences (are gender differences largely the result of biological or environmental factors). Professor Coleman received her Ph.D. in Social Psychology from the University of Illinois-Urbana/Champaign.
Elisa Shoenberger received her BA from the University of Chicago in Latin American History & her MA in Latin American Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is currently pursuing an MBA at Loyola University of Chicago (focusing on Not-for-Profit Management). Elisa did her MA research on images of women in Cuban propaganda posters, samples of which she will show us on 3/12.
