PRLF 2012 Wrap-Up

ReverseTheCurseAnother year at the Printers Row Lit Fest!

This was my 9th year at the PRLF, & this year, for the first time, I finally had a book of my own to sell 🙂

First & foremost, my thanks to Art & Susan Brauer who served as coordinators of the IWPA Tent this year. Thanks also to everyone who stopped by our table to buy, chat &/or browse. As always, the crowd was wonderful & this year the weather was terrific.

Finally, huge thanks to everyone who helped set-up & staff our FF2 Media Table. What a team!

This year we sold copies of Anita Hill’s book Reimagining Equality: Stories of Gender, Race and Finding Home. (We sold “Commemorative Editions” with special inserts showing Professor Hill as our special guest at the 5th annual Jane Addams Day celebration at the Chicago Temple on 12/10/11!)

We also sold copies of my book Penny’s Picks: 50 Movies by Women Filmmakers (2002-2011). MonicaJim

Final Question: Who’s the goat?

“Reverse The Curse” is a social enterprise that began on April 1, 2011 to help end domestic illiteracy and international poverty by giving school supplies and goats. In May 2012, “Reverse The Curse” finalized an agreement with non-profit World Vision to be a Professional Fund Raiser on their behalf to raise funds and spread awareness in the Chicagoland area.
